What do you do at HOMAG and how long have you been on board?

I work as the Technical Specialist for spare parts at HOMAG Asia in Singapore office. I have been working for HOMAG for 28 years. I started as a Technical Engineer installing and maintaining our machines at customers’ plants. I had also been a Spare Parts Manager before becoming a Technical Specialist.

What do you particularly appreciate about your tasks?

We have many many many spare parts. It is challenging to be familiar with every single spare part and with more machines and more variety of machines, spare parts diversity increase immensely. However, with the vast amount of experience in the machines, I am savvy in my job. It is satisfying to be able to learn and become knowledgeable with new machines, new engineering and new spare parts regularly.

How would you describe HOMAG to a good friend?

HOMAG is like a big family. Everyone gets along well. The colleagues are helpful and approachable. We work hard together and we have fun together when we gather outside of regular work. HOMAG is my second home.

HOMAG is an innovation leader. Its innovative nature made me feel like I’m advancing with the world. My work allows me to keep myself updated and refreshed regularly.

What makes your work at HOMAG special?

This role of handling thousands and thousands of spare parts every day made me realized that every small part plays a special and important role in moving and making that huge machines work! Although small, we could be that tiny screw that makes or breaks something. Everyone is special in their job!
