CNC processing — new solutions from entry-level to industrial production
An extensive mix of innovations for CNC processing will be presented to interested customers at LIGNA 2025.
Two new solutions for 6-sided drilling will be presented alongside a new product for entry-level nesting. Often supplemented and supported by robotics with camera-based part identification. Rounded off by the new version of the woodWOP 9 CNC programming software.
Modern camera technology supports workpiece detection
The vertical CNC processing center, the DRILLTEQ V-310, still has a winning combination of a wide range of functions with a small footprint. At this year's Ligna, the machine will be presented in a fully automated cell, consisting of a FEEDBOT D-310 and a return system with turning function, for full 6-side processing. V-310 a high-performance center and therefore an optimal production cell in woodworking shops. The robot features the latest camera technology for identifying the parts. In this way, stacks formed manually can be easily detected by the robot without stack lists and fed using digital checks based on the label and the workpiece contour. At the same time, the intelliStack software uses an intelligent destacking algorithm to deliver smooth processes. Even if a chaotic stacking system is used, the system will calculate the optimal order for the formation of a stable target stack. The robot removes the workpieces and feeds the CNC precisely. After processing, the robot automatically deposits the workpieces in a new position. This enables intelliStack to optimize the stack in real-time by packing density.
Inclined processing delivers greater flexibility
In addition to the cell with robot support for the DRILLTEQ V-310, you can look forward to a second, stand-alone processing center that is breaking new ground in terms of flexibility. The main focus of this is the broad application options, such as the swiveling doweling unit. The split head configuration in combination with up to 45 drilling spindles enables fast, efficient processing. The C-axis with unit interface expands the extensive processing options such as lock case processing or classic furniture connectors such as "Cabineo."
6-sided drilling — from entry-level to high-end
The new entry-level series offers complete 6-sided drilling. Its package includes everything you need for furniture production. The DRILLTEQ H-230 is available individually as a woodworking shop solution or as part of a line for industrial production. Workpiece dimensions from a length of 250–3000 mm and a width of 60–1250 mm are not a challenge here. The workpieces are perfectly positioned when held by CNC-controlled collet chucks. Workpieces up to 8 - 40 mm thick can be processed without any problems. Long service life, low wear and maximum precision. The patented drilling technology from the HOMAG Group ensures the highest possible processing quality in the long term and does not lose any of its high quality even after thousands of drill jobs per year. The Weldon changing system makes it easy to insert or change the drills. In addition, the automatic spindle clamp guarantees an exactly reproducible drilling depth. No matter how deep, constant quality is maintained together with high repeat accuracy. The same is true of the 4-slot tool changer with HSK interface. The production of holes or pockets is easy. The DRILLTEQ H-230 has a comprehensive safety concept. The protective fence provides safety from 3 sides. Together with a light barrier, it prevents entry into the working area. The protective hood over the moving collet chucks encloses the processing area to ensure the safety of the operator during processing.
The DRILLTEQ H-610 is a highly flexible innovation for comprehensive 6-side processing. Batch size 1 or series production is its everyday work. With its innovative clamp technology, it delivers speed and precision — during both workpiece handling and processing. The workpiece surfaces are perfectly protected despite fast travel speeds. New movement options for the workpiece clamps reduce non-productive times during processing to a minimum. Each bore hole is placed with extreme repeatability. They feature a long service life, low wear and maximum precision. The patented drilling technology from the HOMAG Group is included as standard and ensures the highest possible processing quality in the long term. The Weldon changing system ensures simple, reliable insertion or replacement of the drills. In addition, the automatic spindle clamp guarantees an exactly reproducible drilling depth. The variety of equipment available for the machine is a big plus in terms of flexibility and adaptability for production. CENTATEQ P/E-510 — new table with more functions
The CENTATEQ P/E-510 series redefines high-end CNC processing. It extends proven functions and options and delivers perfect machining results at high feed rates and loads. HOMAG CNC technology sets standards for convenience and consistency in operation, with functions directly on the machine enclosure.
